Getting Your Teenager Car Insurance

Do you have a teenager that is about to drive? Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

  • Per the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety teenagers have the worst driving records
  • 16 year old drivers account for six times more accidents than drivers between 30 and 59
  • Getting your teenager in a drivers education class will help lower their insurance rates
  • Good students with grade point averages of 3.0 or better can get cheaper insurance.
  • New technology is coming out that can prevent cell phone texting while driving. You should look into that.
  • Don't buy them a sports car. You are asking for trouble.
